The National Property Preservation Conference (NPPC) made a triumphant return to Washington D.C. last month.  Hosted by Safeguard Properties, the event was held at the InterContinental Washington DC - The Wharf.  Attendees were treated to two days of information, discussion, and collaboration surrounding a wide range of hot topics in the Property Preservation industry.

The conference began on Tuesday evening with an off-site welcome reception hosted by Safeguard Properties at the International Spy Museum.  Guests were treated to a variety cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and desserts while enjoying access to the museum's many exhibits.

Two days of conference sessions began with a keynote address by Julienne Joseph, Deputy Assistant Secretary, FHA's Office of Single-Family Housing/U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.  Ms. Joseph touched on all things FHA-related and engaged with the audience, answering numerous questions from attendees.  The day continued with moderator-led sessions ranging from legal and legislative updates to in-depth discussions with housing industry leaders.  Elizabeth Springs, Senior Program Manager, CFPB shared insights and an overview of the bureau.  NPPC 2022 closed with Devon Harris, 3-time Olympian and Member of the Original Jamaican Bobsled Team featured in the Disney motion picture 'Cool Runnings',  Devon's presentation was motivational and engaging, following his life story from childhood poverty in Jamaica, to the Royal Military Academy in England, to three trips to the Olympic Games.  Devon was inspirational and entertaining; the perfect way to end the NPPC 2202 experience!

Once again, Safeguard Properties thanks our sponsors, speakers, panelists, moderators and attendees for making NPPC 2022 a wonderful event.  It was great to be back together, in Washington DC to collaborate and discuss best practices, trends, and hot topics in the Property Preservation space.  Be on the lookout in the new year for details regarding NPPC 2023!
