North Chicago, IL

The City of North Chicago, Ill., has enacted property registration requirements within 30 days of default. In addition, a previous requirement to register properties within 10 days of vacancy is still being enforced.

Phoenix, IL

The Village of Phoenix, Ill., has enacted a requirement for mortgage lenders to utilize direct third-party registration (ProChamps) within 10 days of foreclosure filing (regardless of occupancy status) on a semi-annual basis.

The City of Waukegan, Ill., has repealed and replaced its property registration ordinance to include a mortgagee registration requirement with 10 days of default regardless of occupancy status. It is important to note that previously enacted vacant property requirements have not changed.
