On May 6, 2019, Kingston Borough, Pa., amended its property registration program to include semi-annual renewals and a fee increase from $250 to $350. A 10 percent late fee will be charged every 30 days for properties not registered.

Montgomery, AL
Following a vote on May 21, 2019, the City of Montgomery, Ala., has rejected vacant property registration ordinance for the second time in two months. Officials who are against its passage believe it overlaps too much with existing policy and would put an undue burden on responsible building owners.
