Missouri

Multiple Missouri jurisdictions have enacted ordinances requiring a semi-annual registration fee within 30 days of notice that a building has been registered by that jurisdiction. It is important to note that all components of the ordinance (text, fee, etc.) are identical for each location, with the exception of the enacted date. Included are the following:

Mannington Township, NJ

Mannington Township, N.J., has enacted property registration requirements within 30 days of vacancy for both pre-sale and post-sale residential properties.

Frederick, MD

The City of Frederick, Md., has officially proposed legislation that would require property owners to register vacant properties on an annual basis. In addition, an associated registration fee would rise each each year the property is vacant. No further action has been scheduled at this time.
