The City of West Peoria, Ill., has enacted an ordinance requiring creditors to register properties within 10 days of foreclosure filing regardless of occupancy status. Vacant lots are exempt from this requirement.

Chili, NY

The Town of Chili, N.Y., has enacted property registration requirements within 30 days of vacancy. There currently is no associated fee or renewal requirement.

The City of New Kensington, Pa., has enacted an ordinance requiring lenders to register properties within 10 days of default inspection (regardless of occupancy status) or vacancy.
