The 2022 Atlantic hurricane season officially began on June 1, with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Climate Prediction Center, a division of the National Weather Service, already predicting above-average hurricane activity.

The 2022 season officially runs from June 1 through November 30, with the NOAA predicting 14-21 named storms throughout that time.  Named storms have winds that exceed 39 mph or higher.  Of the 14 to 21 named storms, 6 to 10 are expected to become hurricanes (winds of 74 mph or higher), with 3 to 6 of those becoming major hurricanes (category 3, 4, or 5 with winds of 111 mph or higher).  NOAA provides these ranges with a 70% confidence.

As we head into the summer season, it's nearly inevitable that the US will see some impact from a hurricane throughout the next few months.  The greatest asset we have to offer our clients is our nationwide team of inspectors who will be ready to inspect your portfolio of properties within the path of a storm.  With over 250,000 FEMA inspections completed annually, our inspector network is skilled at identifying damages and providing thorough property condition results.  Whether loans are delinquent or non-delinquent, our team will inspect your assets and provide detailed, customizable reporting and analytics so your investors know the current status of their homes.
