VPR Ordinance Enacted in Round Lake

The Village of Round Lake, Ill., effective November 19, has enacted vacant property registration requirements. The ordinance requires registration within 10 days of default or 30 days of vacancy.

VPR Ordinance Enacted in Monroe

The Township of Monroe, N.J. (Middlesex County), enacted vacant property registration requirements on December 3. The ordinance requires creditor registration for every vacant and abandoned property within their possession. Included will be a $500 registration fee.

VPR Ordinance Enacted in Mt. Olive

The Township of Mt. Olive, N.J., enacted vacant property registration requirements on November 20. Effective December 14, the ordinance will require registration within 30 days of vacancy or within 30 days after property ownership has been assumed.

VPR Ordinance Proposed in Inverness

The City of Inverness, Fla., has proposed a vacant property registration ordinance. The ordinance aims to require the registration of defaulted mortgage property on a semi-annual basis (six months from the date of the first action that requires registration, as determined by the City).
