Williamstown, VT

The Town of Williamstown, Vt., has amended its property registration ordinance to include proof of liability insurance and a no trespassing form must be submitted with the registration form within 60 days of vacancy. The change became effective on September 3.

SECTION 6. OBLIGATIONS OF VACANT BUILDING OWNERS.

A vacant building owner shall ensure that the following measures have been undertaken to secure a vacant building.

M. Insurance. Owners of vacant buildings shall be required to maintain liability insurance for as long as the building is vacant, and fi]e evidence of such insurance with the Town Manager.
