Sec. 11-205 Registration of Foreclosed Property and Payment of Fees.
1. Any lender who holds a mortgage or other security interest on real property located within the Borough shall perform an inspection of the property to determine vacancy or occupancy upon the filing of a mortgage foreclosure action against the property. The lender shall, within 10 days of the initial inspection, register the property with the Office of Code Enforcement or designee, on forms or website access provided by the Borough, and indicate whether the property is vacant or occupied.
4. A nonrefundable annual registration fee in the amount of $500 per foreclosure property shall accompany the registration form or website registration, along with a proof of inspection. The annual registration fee shall not be prorated.

SEC. 286-5 INSPECTION AND REGISTRATION OF REAL PROPERTY UNDER FORECLOSURE
(c) Within ten (10) days of the date any Mortgagee files a Foreclosure Action, the Mortgagee shall register the Real Property with the Township Registry, and, at the time of registration, indicate whether the property is Vacant, and if so shall designate in writing a Property Manager to inspect, maintain and secure the Real Property subject to the mortgage in Foreclosure when legally possible. A separate registration is required for each Registrable Property.
(e) At the time of initial registration each registrant shall pay a non-refundable Annual Registration fee of five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each occupied Registrable Property and two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) for each vacant property. Subsequent non-refundable Annual Registrations of properties and fees are due within ten (10) days of the expiration of the previous registration.

The township of Edgewater Park, N.J. has amended its property registration ordinance to require that properties be registered within 10 days of foreclosure filing. The program will require a $500.00 annual registration fee for occupied properties and a $2500.00 annual registration fee for vacant properties.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF EDGEWATER PARK IN BURLINGTON COUNTY, STATE OF NEW JERSEY AMENDING CHAPTER 393 OF THE TOWNSHIP OF EDGEWATER PARK CODE, ENTITLED PROPERTY, ABANDONED OR VACANT IN ACCORDANCE WITH P.L. 2021, C. 444
SECTION ONE. Chapter 193, entitled Property, Abandoned and Vacant, Articles 1 and 2 of the Code of the Township of Edgewater Park that the Code of the Township of Edgewater Park is amended as follows:
Sec. 393-1. Article I. Maintenance of Abandoned Properties.
B. Notice.
(1) Within 10 days of filing a summons and complaint with the New Jersey Superior Court in an action to foreclose on a commercial and/or residential mortgage for a property located within the Township, the creditor shall notify the Township Clerk, or his/her designee, of the action.
Article II. Abandoned Property List
Sec, 393-10. Fees. A creditor shall be required to pay an annual fee to register a property as set forth in Sec, 393-1 of this Article.
A. Creditors shall be required to pay a fee of $500 per property annually for any property that is required to be registered because a summons and complaint in an action to foreclose was filed by the creditor.
B. Creditors shall be required to pay an additional $2,000 per property annually if the property is vacant or abandoned pursuant to the definition in the ordinance when the summons and complaint in an action to foreclose is filed, or becomes vacant and abandoned pursuant to the definition in the ordinance at any time thereafter while the property is in foreclosure.
