VPR Ordinance Enacted in Cortland

The Town of Cortland, Ill., has enacted vacant property registration requirements. The ordinance requires registration within 15 days of a structure determined to be a "vacant building" by the town administrator as well as annual renewal.

VPR Ordinance Enacted in Ironton


The City of Ironton, Ohio, enacted vacant property registration requirements on October 25. The ordinance requires registration within 60 days after any building located in an area zoned for residential or commercial use becomes vacant or no later than 30 days after notification of the requirements to register.

VPR Amendments Approved in Port St. Lucie


The City of Port St. Lucie, Fla., has amended its registration of real properties requirements. Among them is a change that calls for the annual registration fee to correspond to the fiscal year of the City and the renewal of the registration, along with the payment of the annual fee, to be completed prior to October 1 of any year.

Foreclosed Property Registry Amended in Maryland

The State of Maryland, effective October 1, has amended its foreclosed property registry to require registration within seven days of a foreclosure filing.
