The Village of Glenwood, Ill., has amended its property registration program to now include properties within 30 days of vacancy or foreclosure filing (previously vacant only). In addition, the program is now enforced through a third-party service (ProChamps).
Renewal Overview:
- Properties registered for 12 months or more (prior to 06/16/2020) have 30 days to renew registration
- Properties registered for less than 12 months (prior to 06/16/2020) shall renew registration every six months (from expiration date of original registration date)
Livonia, MI
The City of Livonia, Mich., has amended its property registration ordinance to include the following fee increases:
- Administrative Fee/Initial Registration: $42 (previously $39)
- Monthly Fee: $42 (previously $39)
Jersey City, NJ
Jersey City, N.J., is now enforcing its foreclosure registration program through a third-party service (Pro-Champs). Registration will be required within 30 days of Lis Pendens or foreclosure filing. It is important to note that the city will still manage its vacant property registration program directly.
