Sec. 237-3. Registration requirements.
The owner of any property in foreclosure or vacant and abandoned property as defined herein shall, within 30 calendar days after the building enters foreclosure or becomes vacant property, or within 10 calendar days of receipt of notice by the municipality, file a registration statement for such property with the Code Enforcement Officer on forms provided by the Township for such purposes. Failure to receive notice by the municipality shall not constitute a defense for failing to register the property.
C. The registration shall remain valid until December 31 of the year in which the application is made. The owner shall be required to renew the registration annually in the month of January. Deadline for registration renewal shall be January 31 as long as the building remains vacant and/or abandoned property and the owner shall pay a registration fee in the amount prescribed in Sec. 237-4 of this chapter for each vacant property registered.
Sec. 237-4. Fees.
A. Registration fees.

Vacant and/or abandoned property, first year -- $1,000
Vacant and/or abandoned property, second year -- $2,000
Property in foreclosure that is vacant, first year -- $1,500
Property in foreclosure that is vacant, second year and every year thereafter -- $2,500

Sec.390-25. General requirements.
A. The owner of any vacant property, as defined herein, shall within 30 days after the building becomes vacant property or within 30 days after assuming ownership of the vacant property, whichever is later, file a registration statement for each such vacant property with the Township of Mine Hill Clerk on forms provided by the Clerk for such purposes, as well as any additional information that the Clerk may reasonably request. The registration shall remain valid until the end of the calendar year. The owner shall be required to renew the registration annually, no later than January 31, as long as the building remains vacant property and shall pay a registration or renewal fee of the amount set forth in Chapter 235, Fees, for each vacant property registered.

Sec. 390-33. Creditor registration.
B. A creditor filing a summons and complaint in an action to foreclose shall, in addition to the notice provided to the Township pursuant to Section 17 of P.L. 2008, c. 127 (N.J.S.A. 46:10B-51), or Section 2 of P.L. 2021, c. 444 (N.J.S.A. 40:48-2.12s2), register the residential or commercial property with the Township's property registration program as a property in foreclosure.
Sec. 235-14. Property maintenance.
B. Buildings pending foreclosure. The annual fee for a creditor required to register a property pursuant to Chapter 390, Article IV, shall be: [Added 9-1-2022 by Ord. No. 14-22]
(1) $500 per property annually for any property that is required to be registered because a summons and complaint in an action to foreclose was filed by the creditor; and
(2) An additional $2,000 per property annually if the property is vacant or abandoned pursuant to the definition in the article when the summons and complaint in an action to foreclose is filed or becomes vacant and abandoned at any time thereafter while the property is in foreclosure.

Cherry Hill Township, NJ
The township of Cherry Hill, N.J. has amended its property registration ordinance to require registration within 30 days of foreclosure filing or within 10 days of vacancy. The program will require annual registration accompanied by a fee of $500.00 annually for occupied properties and an additional $2,000.00 annually for vacant or abandoned properties.

4. REGISTRATION, NOTICE AND OTHER CREDITOR REQUIREMENTS
(a) Within 30 days of the effective date of this Ordinance, any creditor who has initiated a summons and complaint with the New Jersey Superior Court in an action to foreclose on a commercial and/or residential mortgage for a property located within the Township of Cherry Hill: (i) prior to the effective date of this Ordinance, and (ii) which is pending as of the effective date of this Ordinance and (iii) is filed after the enactment of this ordinance shall provide notice in accordance with subsection (b) of this Section.
(b) Within 10 days of filing a summons and complaint with the New Jersey Superior Court in an action to foreclose on a commercial and/or residential mortgage for a property located within the Township of Cherry Hill, the creditor shall notify the Township Clerk, or his or her designee, of the action.
5. FEES, VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES
(b) Creditors required to notify the Township and register a property as one in foreclosure shall be required to pay the following annual registration fee, per property due at the time of registration of $500.00.
(c) If a property registered with the Township's registration program as a property in foreclosure is vacant and abandoned at the time of registration, or becomes vacant and abandoned at any time during the pendency of the foreclosure proceeding, the creditor shall pay an additional annual registration fee of $2,000.00 per property, due at the time the determination that the property is vacant and abandoned is made.
Macomb, IL
The city of Macomb, Ill. has enacted a property registration requirement within 30 days of foreclosure filing or vacancy. The program will require annual registration accompanied by a $250.00 fee.

Sec. 7-219. Registration.
(a) Registration Required
(1) Initial Registration. The owner or creditor of any lot, building or premises that has become vacant shall file a registration statement for each such lot, building, or premises with the office of community development on forms provided by such office within thirty (30) days after the occurrence of any one or more of the following:
i. Knowledge of an owner and/or creditor that the property is vacant;
ii. Upon filing a complaint of foreclosure or execution of a deed in lieu of foreclosure on a property located within the City, and for which a registration has not yet been completed.
(2) Renewal Registration. This registration shall be renewed annually until such time that:
i. For properties registered under Section 3(a)(1)(i), the property is legally re-occupied or the property transferred to an unaffiliated third party.
ii. For properties registered under Section 3(a)(1)(ii), the foreclosure action is dismissed or the property transferred to an unaffiliated third party. If the foreclosure action is dismissed however the property remains vacant, the annual registration is still required.
(d) Fees for Registration. The registration fee shall be $250.00 per year. The fees reasonably approximate the cost to the city of the establishment, maintenance, operation, and administration of the registry.
White Oak, PA
The borough of White Oak, Pa. has amended its property registration ordinance to require registration within 10 days of foreclosure filing. The program will require semiannual registration accompanied by a fee of $300.00.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF WHITE OAK, COUNTY OF ALLEGHENY, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYVANIA, ADDING ARTICLE 1782 ENTITLED AS "REGISTRATION OF FORECLOSED PROPERTY" TO THE BOROUGH CODE
Sec. 1782.05 Establishment of a Registry.
The Borough of White Oak, or its designee, shall establish a registry cataloging each registrable property within the Borough of White Oak, containing the information required by this chapter.
1 Any mortgagee who holds a mortgage on registrable property located within the Borough of White Oak shall perform an inspection of the property to determine vacancy or occupancy, upon foreclosure. The Mortgagee shall, within ten (10) days of the inspection, register the property with the Borough Code Enforcement Department, or its designee, on forms or other manner as directed, and indicate whether the property is vacant or occupied. A separate registration is required for each property, whether it is found vacant or occupied.
8. A nonrefundable semiannual registration fee of $300 shall accompany each registration pursuant to this section. Such fee shall be set by White Oak Borough Council and designated in the Borough Fee Schedule. This fee may be changed from time-to-time by Resolution of Borough Council.

The township of Wayne, N.J. has enacted a property registration ordinance to require registration within 10 days of foreclosure filing. The program will require annual registration accompanied by a fee of $500.00 for occupied properties and an additional $2,000.00 for vacant or abandoned properties.

Sec. 99-33. INSPECTION AND REGISTRATION OF REAL PROPERTY UNDER FORECLOSURE
(c) Within ten (10) days of the date any Mortgagee files a Foreclosure Action, the Mortgagee shall register the Real Property with the Township Registry, and, at the time of registration, indicate whether the property is Vacant, and if so shall designate in writing a Property Manager to inspect, maintain and secure the Real Property subject to the mortgage in Foreclosure when legally possible. A separate registration is required for each Registrable Property.
(e) A nonrefundable annual registration fee in the amount of $500 per property shall accompany the registration form or website registration; and (2) an additional $2,000 per property annually if the property is vacant or abandoned pursuant to the definition in the ordinance when the summons and complaint in an action to foreclose is filed, or becomes vacant and abandoned pursuant to the definition in the ordinance at any time thereafter while the property is in foreclosure.

The city of Delavan, Ill. has enacted a property registration ordinance to require registration within 10 days of foreclosure filing or 10 days of vacancy. The program will require semiannual registration accompanied by a fee of $300.00.

A. A mortgagee that initiated a foreclosure action against a property within the corporate limits of the City of Delavan prior to the effective date of this Chapter, or its agent, shall register each property as provided in this Chapter within ten (10) days.

A. At the time of initial registration each mortgagee or owner, whichever is applicable, shall pay a non-refundable Semi-Annual Registration fee of $300.00 for each registerable property. Subsequent Semi-Annual Registration fees in the amount of $300.00 are due within ten (10) days of the expiration of the previous registration.
